Sleep Support

"Sleep time: When we give the brain the rest it needs, we consolidate learning and recover from the experiences of the day"

DIY Sleep Support Plans

Has having a baby made you wonder why people say "sleeping like a baby" like its a good thing? Babies are frequent sleepers, but often need to build trust and skills that allow them to sleep for long stretches on their own. Babies and toddlers need need your help in developing the best sleep habits for themselves and the rest of the family.

This package allows you to do the actual sleep training all on your own, but with my expertise and experience in building the plan! This is the most budget friendly selection.

Sleep Support and Coaching Plans

One thing I hear often from parents who mean well is "I know she needs to learn to sleep on her own eventually, but I just want to pick her up and check on her as soon as she makes a noise!" These packages include coaching for parents who are implementing sleep plans, to remind them the purpose of what they are working on and how they'll feel as soon as their goal is accomplished. You got this mom, dad, grandma and nanny!

These are sleep plans that include coaching either through email or text to help you through the process of sleep training your child. This allows us a chance to tweak the plan, or remind you what you're working toward even in the moments it feels hardest.

Dream Doula Support

If you know you want your calm, quiet evenings back to unwind on your own, but aren't able to move past a bit of protesting from your baby or child, we can come in and do the sleep training for you! This plan still requires lots of communication and coaching, but we'll be doing most of the comforting and consoling of the baby, so that they make it through the biggest changes and start building trust in their new sleep routine with the help of a professional.
These services are only available within 1 hour of Albany, NY and are dependent on availability.

Infant Sleep Class

I encourage my postpartum clients to put a lot of thought into their postpartum period during their pregnancy. Your birth plan, undoubtedly, deserves some serious attention, but its probably only covering a day or two. Your postpartum plan, on the other hand, covers many months, and has to consider the new baby, and every person (and even pet) already living in your home.
Taking a sleep class in pregnancy will help you prepare reasonable sleep expectations for when your infant is home. It will cover sleep props, like swaddles, pacifiers, and rocking bassinets, give examples of what sleep looks like for early infants (they can have their eyes open!) and discuss how to set up positive sleep habits from the very beginning!

Sleep Philosophy

I am a graduate of the Institute of Pediatric Sleep and Parentings Sleep Consultant course, a mom of 3, and a former-nanny who has helped many children learn more sustainable sleep practices.

I believe that getting enough sleep is one of the most important things you can do for yourself and your child, as sleep lets them be well-rested enough to learn from the rest of their daily experiences. Having sufficient sleep is likely to make your kids seem smarter, happier, and healthier.

Our methods are gentle, yet firm, and teach your child to build confidence in their parents and themselves that will allow them to feel safe and comfortable enough to sleep without props, comforting, and coaching. We teach them how to become their own comfort while sleeping, so that you can be a well-rested parent who keeps encouraging them to believe in themselves all day long.
